We look at the latest issue
There’s plenty to look out for in the February issue of CVC magazine, which is out in all good newsagents now. First up, David Reed tells us the exciting story of a stunning new Mercedes 1617 restoration that debuted just last year and the owner’s interesting history with road haulage.
That’s not all! We also have a look at the Atkinson Mk1 of 1958 – which marked a significant move forward. Or did it? Find out with our two-part close-up analysis in the latest issue of CVC magazine.
That’s not all! We also have the story of a 1950s Albion FT37 which was bought by the present owner’s father for restoration in 1976. It was sold unrestored a few years later but subsequently bought back. It had, however, been fully restored while away. Additionally there’s the Bedford Rascal that’s recently been bought by a well-known collector of much older Bedford lorries. Ppus an ex-BRS Bristol HA6LL tractor unit, and a look at Guy lorry models.
PLUS, in out Vintage Roadscene section, have some absolutely stunning photographs from the East Coast Floods of 1953. Lorries from right across the country travelled to Norfolk and Lincolnshire for the rescue and clear-up operation. There’s also another selection of images from the Papworth Coachworks archive, and also some heavy haulage machinery from the 1960s to the 1980s..
